I know the weather is oddly changeable this year. It’s either unbearably stuffy, or hardly warm, or windy, or rainy, or whatever else. You barely get it. Surprisingly I am fine with things as they are. Well, perhaps it’s been moderate outdoors so far. Even a few thunderstorms and rain that happen from time to time seem not to bother me at all. Though, I have to say meteorological situation has definitely had impact on my daily ration. I crave for eating warm, nourishing, thick, creamy comfort food. Quite untypical of me and my summer menu. Oh no, I do not complain, not in the least. I just try to be careful about calories as me and exercising scarcely see each other these days.
Oh, what am I pointing at? Actually, I’ve wanted to present you the recipe of Penne with Salmon, Green Peas and Creamy Sauce.
Should I stop beating about the bush and finely come to the point? In fact, I’ve always been curious about if someone indeed reads all these texts in posts on food blogs, or everyone just scroll down peeking at the tasty food photographs in the meanwhile. Hm… I still hope that at least a few admirers of food journaling are still out there and they actually read the whole posts. Because sometimes I even tend to write highly interesting facts about healthy food or how certain well-known classic dishes were developed.
Last time I mentioned two photoshoots of pasta I did a year ago and never published on my blog. I managed to share the first one in the previous post about Spaghetti alla Carbonara. Today I am catching up with Penne with Salmon, Green Peas and Cream Sauce. Being a nice person I need to warn you about high energetic value of the dish thanks to fat salmon and thick cream used in sauce. So, I highly recommend you to limit yourself to a small plate for lunch. However, if something goes wrong and you find yourself eating pasta for the second round, don’t worry! At least you have the whole day ahead of you to burn all the unnecessary kilojoules of pure pleasure.
Yeah, I know pasta has the most awful reputation. It’s all about fast carbs, gluten and thick sauces on top of that. Besides, one will find another million of reasons against pasta. Of course, I am not an expert in dietetics yet but I am ready to shatter most of the myths. Will you be interested in reading about it?
