DIY Christmas Gifts Project: Peanut Butter Fudge

Yes! It’s officially the start of my DIY Christmas gifts blog post series! To tell you the truth, when I was doing shootings for it, I couldn’t wait to show it to you, guys. I am sure, DIY gifts are the most overwhelming and heart-warming comparing to those we buy in stores. Not only you develop the idea, prepare the right materials, but you take time and effort to create the gift, wrap it up before you see the delightful smile of the person receiving your gift.

As long as I write a foodblog, I thought that it would be nice to gather a few DIY ideas which nicely present as a gift and can be eaten with great pleasure. All in all, cooking for someone is the best thing in the world ever! Today we’ll be making healthy peanut butter fudge. Caution! It’s the most quickly melting gift. So, make sure you keep it in the freezer. Can you imagine saying to someone: “Hey, sweetheart, check the freezer. There is a gift waiting for you!”

Peanut butter fudge has been a Pinterest discovery of mine recently. Even my man said it was good. What is important, you need only 3 ingredients to have fun with the fudge: sugar-free peanut butter, coconut oil and honey or other natural sweetener. Additionally you may have a bonus ingredient like dried berries or nuts to your preference and taste. For instance, I used dried cranberries. And in my opinion it tasted amazing! Though my man rather wanted to have peanuts as an additional ingredient. That is it! The process of making will take no time! It means, peanut butter fudge equals saviour of your time and lots of indulging moments after it’s ready.

OK. I am putting my aces on the table. Do you know that peanut butter fudge tastes like Snickers ice cream? But much healthier version. Sugar-free. Minimalistic. Almost organic 🙂 Well, if you are not planning to make it for a gift, at least try it yourself at home. It will change your life for a moment.

Peanut Butter Fudge

Prep time 5 minutes
Cook time 1 hour
Total time 1 hour, 5 minutes

  • 1 cup sugar free creamy peanut butter
  • 60ml coconut oil (melted)
  • 2 tablespoons honey


  • handful dried berries or nuts


1. In a bowl mix together all the ingredients: peanut butter, melted coconut oil and honey. Stir well. Add handful dried berries and nuts to your taste (optional)
2. Prepare a small loaf pan, cover it with the parchment paper (I skipped this step). The size of the pan depends on how thick you would like to have your fudge. The smaller the pan, the thicker the fudge pieces.
3. Pour the peanut butter mixture into the loaf pan and put it into the freezer. Let the mixture harden for at least an hour. Then take out of the freezer, cut into pieces of the desired size and enjoy immediately!


Store the fudge in the airtight container in the freezer.
