Oh, cherry muffins… When I made them I couldn’t stop eating. They are as catching as sunflower seeds or nuts.
You just can’t resist. When you take them out of the oven the smell seems to soak the whole kitchen. And you don’t even notice your hands try to reach still hot baking cups. You don’t even remember how you’ve made a cup of herbal tea and eaten a half of your cherry wonders.
By the way…cherries. Sweet cherries to be exact. I will say it again and again. Summer is the best season to eat cherries and other berries in gigantic volumes. And it is an absolute crime not to use berries in baking and especially raw desserts. Today’s recipe is another prove that it is a must of all musts 🙂
As you might have noticed I keep on experimenting with sugar-free baking using only naturally sweet ingredients. I hope to keep it up at least till the end of the year. By the way, I am preparing posts about my biggest experience and adventure of this year, sugar detox according to the program “I Quit Sugar” by Sarah Wilson. I only need to gather myself together and write a few posts: my review on the book “I Quit Sugar”, my thoughts on the detox itself and the post sugar detox effects. So, I guess, do not forget to follow me to keep posted if the topic is of your interest.
And the last thing. We already enjoy August. No matter how sad it sounds, but I have always considered August the last summer breath before autumn. Even though my birthday is actually at the end of August. Oh, summertime sadness, here you come!
