Prep time15 minutes
Cook time20 minutes
Total time35 minutes

  • 300g flour
  • 120g thinly sliced smoked salmon
  • 120g cream cheese (Mascarpone, Philadelphia or Ricotta will be fine)
  • 1 egg
  • little sprig dill
  • 200ml milk
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable oil
  • 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 10g baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon pink peppercorn

1.Preheat the oven to 180°C.
2.Chop finely the dill.
3.Mix flour with sugar, baking soda and the dill.
4.Mix cream cheese with the egg and melted butter. Add some milk, whisk the mixture with the hand mixer. After you get a thorough mixture, add the rest of the milk and whisk everything a little bit.
5.Cut the smoked salmon into small slices.
6.Mix the flour with the creamy/ milky mixture, add smoked salmon, pink peppercorn and thoroughly stir it up.
7.Smear the muffin baking cups with vegetable oil, put the dough into the cups and bake for 20 minutes.
8.Tip: Try to hide salmon pieces inside of the dough when putting it (the dough, I mean) into the baking cups so that the salmon remains gentle and juicy.

Enjoy your muffins and merry December days!
